In addition, Carwraponline products also possess three properties: hydrophilicity, hydrophobicity, and stain resistance available.
Dense, smooth coating reduces stain adhesion, resisting bird droppings, tree sap, insect remains, and oil stains. Stains are hard to penetrate and easy to wipe off, keeping the film bright for longer

Forms a uniform water film quickly when in contact with water, letting rain slide off smoothly to reduce residue and improve visibility in rain. Daily cleaning only needs water to remove dust, making maintenance easy.
Low surface energy coating effectively repels water, preventing rain and moisture from seeping between the film and paint to avoid adhesive failure and peeling. Suitable for diverse U.S. climates, extending film lifespan.
Basic characteristics of paint protection film
Lifespan: 6-8 years
Thickness: 7.5mil, 8.5mil, 9.5mil available
Adhesive formulation: Hydrophobic high-gloss nano-crystal coating + Ashland high-performance adhesive (USA)
Adhesive advantages: High strength, smooth surface, low-temperature curing, minimal residue, fast curing

Initial care after applying the screen protector (critical period)
Waiting for curing: After applying the film, wait at least 48-72 hours for the adhesive to fully cure. During this period, avoid touching, washing, or wiping the surface of the car cover.
Avoid high-pressure water guns: Do not use high-pressure water guns for cleaning initially, as this may cause the edges of the car cover to peel or fall off.
Avoid direct sunlight: Park the car in the shade whenever possible, avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, especially during the high temperatures of summer.
Initial Post-Application Care (Critical Period)
Curing Wait: Allow 48–72 hours for adhesive to fully cure; avoid touching, washing, or wiping the film. No High-Pressure Washing: Avoid high-pressure water guns to prevent edge lifting or peeling. Limit Sun Exposure: Park in shade, especially in summer, to avoid prolonged direct sunlight.
Environmental & Usage Protection
Summer Parking: Use a sunshade to keep film surface ≤70°C; park ≥3 meters from trees to reduce resin drips. Minor Scratches (≤5µm): Use a 60–70°C heat gun (20cm distance, 30s) to activate TPU self-healing. Edge Lifting: Temporarily fix with traceless tape; return to shop for service within 48 hours.

Every 12 months: Conduct oxygen permeability testing on the membrane surface. If the value is >15cc/m².day, it indicates coating aging and requires repair. Use an ultrasonic thickness gauge to monitor the membrane thickness. Normal wear should be 1.2µm/year; values exceeding this should be considered for partial replacement.
Key Reminder: Curing Time: Curing time may vary by ±2 days between different brands of TPU car wraps. Please refer to the 《Construction warranty card》 for the specified period. Yellowing of the membrane surface: If the yellowing index (YI value) is found to be >3, an oxidation-reduction protective agent should be used immediately.

Use the standard paint protection film installation method.
Avoid excessive stretching or heating.
Post-heating may be required:
Flat surfaces: 110°C
Curved surfaces and overlapping areas: 130°C
Maintain pH-neutral conditions.
Avoid using waxes or solvents.
Surface Preparation is Critical: Thoroughly clean the vehicle to remove dirt, wax, and grease.
Work in a Controlled Environment: Install in a dust-free, well-lit area.
Use High-Quality Installation Tools: Tools like a felt-edged squeegee, heat gun, and precision knife are essential. Avoid using sharp or metal tools that could scratch the film.
Stretch & Position Carefully: CarWrapOnline’s PPF is highly conformable, but for complex curves, use a heat gun (low-medium heat) to soften the film. Avoid overstretching, as it can thin the film.
Squeegee from the Center Outward: Start in the middle and push air/water toward the edges to prevent trapped bubbles. Apply firm, even pressure to ensure full adhesion.
Trim Excess Film Before Final Drying: Use a fresh, sharp blade for clean cuts. Leave a small margin (1-2mm) near edges to avoid peeling.
Allow Proper Curing Time: Avoid washing or heavy rain for at least 24-48 hours to allow the adhesive to fully bond.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals & Automatic Car Washes: For the first 2 weeks, only hand wash using pH-neutral car shampoo. Avoid strong solvents, waxes, or silicone-based products—they can damage the film’s hydrophobic layer.
Use Heat to Reactivate Self-Healing Properties: If minor scratches appear, park in sunlight or use warm water to activate the self-repairing top coat.
Regular Maintenance for Longevity: Use a PPF-safe detailer spray to maintain gloss and prevent contaminants from bonding. Inspect edges periodically to ensure no lifting occurs.
Keeping both the vehicle and installation environment clean is crucial to ensure the best results.
Avoid exposing the film to extreme environmental changes or chemicals immediately after installation.
The self-healing properties of the PPF can help repair minor scratches, but cannot prevent significant damage.
This is the CarWrapOnline Installation Conditions and Guidelines. Following these steps will help ensure the durability and effectiveness of the film. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our customer support team for further assistance!
